I have now done all 4 (standard FL tail light clusters) with no errors. They do flash on startup as the system checks itself, but otherwise they work perfectly.

Can the flashing on start up be eliminated

Maybe disabling the cold lamp diagnostics in VCDS? 

Regards led reversing lights. Ive got some cree led ones. Very bright but due to the stupid angle of the bulb housing you get a dark spot right behind the car. Better than oem though
