Would be good to see how "white" they are! Are you also upgrading the headlight bulbs?

  • Finally got chance to get some wax on it   Really pleased with how it brought out the shine   Probably just keep on top of washing and waxing until next spring now, where I will be asking ChrisRS

  • The more I look at the sport the less I feel the need for the heated seats of the elegance, yours looks fantastic in red.

Yes they are DRL's, and yes Twin Filament 5/21w...and what a difference!

Hard to capture the difference on camera, but Ive tried my best  :p

Standard bulbs, which as you can see are quite yellow

One of the new bulbs in (Drivers/Off side) and you can see how much whiter the light is

Both MTEC bulbs in. Huge difference in the flesh, not sure if it comes across on camera though

Close up of new MTEC bulb, hopefully showing its whiteness

And thankfully, no more dull yellow, just much brighter white

I hope you can see the difference on camera, because in the flesh its a MASSIVE improvement.

Really happy, now just need some better headlight bulbs to match

Highly recommend these MTEC's, and for £8.99 instead of £24.99 for the LED's they're a bargain IMO

Cheers

Going to fit these to mine when it arrives! Can Deffo see the difference with the left and right photo

Yes, Headlight bulbs are next.

MTEC do some of those as well, or maybe some Philips Ultra Blue or Osram Nightbreakers

Decisions, Decisions...Or maybe I'll go HID

Cheers

I have had osram night breaker plus in all my cars and are better than the Philips or ring in my opinion

Interesting...

Some swear by Philips Ultra Blue, others like you are in the Osram camp

Have to think about it for a while

Cheers for the input though

Much better use of available space compared to a mini, but thats my opinion anyway

Thanks. I suspect the packaging is better than the Mini. Will have to look at the brochures and see, I know running costs would be lower for a start.

Just off ebay mate

Ace parts was the seller, and it was under £4 delivered!

Bargain IMO

Agree it should be like it from standard, as radio reception seems the same

Really pleased with them

It smartens up the cabin and gives a sportier look :)

Where did you get the peddles from?

Quick one! What number plate bulb did you buy? My last car (a Citroen) didn't like any I purchased so would like to get the right ones first time :-)

Just a W5W led wedge sidelight bulb, loads on ebay so pick any you like the look of.

Just a shame the Citigo only has one light for the rear plate

Cheers, you don't have to worry about resistors for errors or anything?!

Personally I think the white like on the number plate looks much smarter than the standard yellow light :-)

Going to get some mtec bulbs for up front too :-D

No, any led bulb will do

I agree fella and MTEC's are great for the money

Some prefer the LED's but they are nearly 4 times the price, so for me the MTEC's will suffice

Seriously considering buying one of these. Am I right in thinking these are only available in 60hp?

Day

You are, but there is a 80 bhp re-map available

I'm sure that you can get 75 bhp versions as well.

  • Author

Sport version is the 60PS engine only

75PS only available on other models in the range

Not driven both variants myself, but apparently there isn't any noticeable difference in power 90% of the time

Only at the top of the rev range is there a slight difference in the map

So basically, dont let the 15PS deficit put you off :D

I was fairly sure that there was a 75 bhp version but I wasn't aware that you couldn't get it in the sport version.

So you want to buy the sporty one, which is also the most expensive. But has less power than lower spec models lol? That doesnt make sense to me. Especially when you have to fork out £300 for a remap which could invalidate the warranty. I know its only 15bhp. But in a car that small it'll make a big difference.

Day, like I said people who have driven both will testify there is no noticeable difference day to day driving

The Sport should have had the 75hp anyway, I must admit

You do pay a premium for the looks

Ideally, you want a 75hp elegance and add the stripes/alloys and bodykit.

Love the Sport :)

Just done all the same mods as you except the pedal covers. Those front bulbs certainly make a lot of difference and the rear number plate too.

I went for the OEM stubby ariel as fitted to the Octy,Yeti and Fabia. Very short and looks good.

Fits perfect without trimming and no loss of reception.

Part number for reference is :

6R0 035 849. Cost £14.99 incl vat.

Just got to put the sill protectors on now.
