Hi guys,

last December I bought my Yeti, the basic "Active Fresh" version which has basically nothing. One of the few things I'd like to have is the climatronic, which I suppose is a bit better than my present manual air con. Does anybody know if it's possible to retrofit it? I've found a couple of items on various sites for about 100-150€, but I have no idea if they fit. Plus, I have a Swing radio and no heated seats. The climatronics I've found so far include the buttons for seats; is there a version without them (I don't think I'll ever need heated seats).

Do I need any special code for the VAGCOM?

Welcome, my Yeti does have the climate control and to be honest with you all I do with it is turn a knob down to make it cooler if I'm too warm or up to make it warmer if I'm a tad cold. Exactly the same as if it were manual.

 

With the sun out one day and cloud the next I rarely leave it at the same position during the UK summer months. Don't get me wrong, it really does work and probably offers more if you have a passenger who is a tad hot. 

 

Personally I would not miss it, but it is one of those handy to have things.

I've found some posts on the net regarding VWs (which shouldn't be much different from out Yeti) and what I'd like to do is very impractical: lots of pieces and lot of work to do; it's not just the front panel which is 100€ more or lesso. Guess I'll stay with my manual air con

There is a lot to say for manual control, it's dead easy to work and a lot less to go wrong  :sun:

you have no hope of retro fitting it.
