Jonezy Fabia 1.4 mpi

Fair enough, I think I would be happy enough keeping a VRS standard, for a little while at least.

I just love tinkering with my car :) its more of a hobby for me haha :)

The fly eyes stuff is more legal at least. Borbets would look great!

Thanks Jonezy

So what did you do with the other intake hose that was there? Cant work out what its for?!

  • Author

Pulled it off amd put it up in bin haha, it just goes to the exhaust mani shield

Nice work mate :) And I agree to make this mod just pull the old hose out, put the new and better one in and thats it :)

Thanks mate :) for a strange reason my mpg seems to have gone up even with my heavy right foot. Not conplaining tho :D

Well then even better :D

Nice. Mine was too. Better torque, so not on the power as much (unless you're hooning around!)

Cars back on its alloys alltough I don't like how high it's sat now and back tyres are 205/50r16 and fronts are 205/45r16

But will do for now, feel free to make offers on the alloys as I'm after some banded steels :) anyway here's some pics

The beast has also been treat to a clean :) love this colour...

Jonezy let me know what price you're looking for re: the wheels and I'll see what I can do.

It looks very nice on those alloys, if I were you I would keep those

  • Author

Thanks Saks :) they are growing on me, i change my mind everyday though haha

Well then change your mind on some other things and leave the alloys alone :D haha

  • Author

Haha, unless i can find some Borbet A's or BBS, then they will stay :)

Hit 100,000 miles the other day and the engine is still running as sweet ad ever :D

Altough the console bushes have gone again going to upgrade to some poly bushes I think. The joys of being low :D haha

Not sure wether to keep this or get rid don't think I'd get much for the little work horse tho. Highly tempted to get a mk3 Golf estate or mk1 Octy estate love the look of both of them...

Sorry no pics.

Those mk2 fabia alloys look really good on this thing.

I recently got rid of my fabia mpi :( juuuuust before it clocked over to 100k! Got my mk1 Octy 1.9 TDI 110 now and it doesn't half pull! By comparison to the fabia at least.

Also, the hatch is much more spacious than you'd think.

They do suite it well don't they. Sold them to my Dad now tho for my Mums golf haha. Back rolling on steelies

If I do get rid of this little mpi beast I will defiantly miss it done over 30k reliable mules :) I Love it just fancy a estate car

That's fair, I only had mine for a year, around 12k miles. Loved it, but I don't think I could go back to something with less power now! That 1.9 tdi engine just has so much torque, feels like a train!

I quite fancied an estate, the hatch is huge though, suits my needs nicely, and I'm getting roof bars for my bikes anyway, so makes no real difference unless you wanna carry really big stuff in the back. Admittedly the octy is a bit more of a pain around town than the Fabia - could just fling that thing around. So much more comfortable for longer journeys though.

Main reason I want a estate is I just prefer the look of them and I fancy something quicker bored of the sluggish mpi altough it's bulletproof I'd rather have some horses under the bonnet and not hamsters haha

That's fair, I prefer the look of the estate and that's what I'd have gone for given the choice, but for what I paid for mine, I'm not going to complain!

Get the PD 110 engine if you can, knocks the socks off the MPI ;)
