What double DIN head unit?

Featured Replies

So I'm looking at upgrading the standard head unit in my 2009 Octy VRS and was wanting to keep the original look, hopefully incorporating the parking sensors and heating/fan readout on the unit.

I found the kenwood DNX521DAB made for VW/Skoda/Seat, which does all the above including Nav and Bluetooth. Cheapest price I have found is £900.

Does anyone know of any similar units out there? Not too bothered about the Nav.....

Thanks in advance.

Sam

I just got the kenwood ddx6021bt, not a patch on the one you mentioned but I'm happy with it :) it reatails at £4-500+ but its available for £260 (ex-demo) but they're immaculate.

Thanks kiddy, just had a look. The sort of thing I am after, do you know if its compatible with parking sensors?

It's compatible with just about everything I think mate, reverse camera, sat nav bla bla bla

Are these simple to fit and did you need to get any trim parts?

I must admit, this is the first head unit that I have had fitted properly. I just thought that should anything go wrong with fitting, I don't want to break something so expensive.

And yes for a fascia (£7 trade price) or £20rrp
