Quirk or is something not working as it should?

Featured Replies

Noticed while cleaning my car, that the fuel filler cover was unlocked therefore thinking I had left the car unlocked. So I grab the keys and double tap the "lock" button on the key fob, but the fuel filler cover was still unlocked.

With the fuel filler cover open and the car unlocked, I pushed the lock button once locking all doors and the actuator lock moved out locking the cover. When I pushed the key fob a second time the actuator lock moved back in, unlocking the cover, but double/dead locking the four doors.

Surely this should'nt be the case, or am I being a biff?

A double press on the lock button disables the deadlocks and interior alarm sensors. On VAG cars only a single press is needed to fully lock and deadlock the car.
