on my pd 130 turbo i had it was grey ish colour but now its defo blue

Headlift requires the installation of a new head gasket and new stronger head bolts. There are experts here who will tell you which parts to use, you should get your mate to do the work and get a new cambelt, water pump and tensioner fitted at the same time since the head's coming off anyway if headlift is indeed the problem. I'm assuming you're fully remapped already.

Mine did it when i had a stage 1 map on. Id advise you to get it mapped again asap mate! And also the headlift thing is incorrect. There is no way you will get headlift at 200-230 bhp. You only just get it at over 300. Also did you turbo blow before you put the hybrid on? Could just be oil in the exhaust that needs burning if thats the case.

silly, but may be some oil split down the exhaust when the work was being done? Personally id give it a day or so before jumping to conclusions,

Beat me too it with your edit! Lol

Plenty of members on the site have experienced headlift running much less power than 300. Joes silver VRS with GTB turbo had headlift at 230bhp and I think it was Jases who had headlift at around 170bhp.

I also spoke to another member who experienced headlift from just a stage 1 map.

ARL pd150 head bolts are a good idea, they are around £55 brand new.

Not blue smoke, no.

As Mentioned you dont need 300 odd bhp

to get headlift. I experienced it at 230 ish bhp and cured it with stronger head bolts. Another lad with almost identical mods to me also had headlift and had to have the head skimmed.

To the OP are you loosing/ using coolant?

Hi m8 r u selling ur pd 130 turbo

You guys must be unlucky then lol im running 230 and i dont have a problem... If you have the 3 layer head gasket i have heard of it leaking through the layers.

I'm loosing coolant (pressurised expansion tank aswell) and suspect it to be headlift and my Fabia is at about 215 bhp. What's best to do get uprated head bolts or get the head gasket changed and fitted updated head bolts?

Sorry to go off

The latter, you have to change the gasket since it will be damaged.

May as well do the Cambelt and water pump while your there.

Could also be oil bypassing piston rings or valve stem seals.

Or you have an issue with your new hybrid!
