Sig updated! ;)

Really pleased with it, but it's dirty!!!

I'm really really pleased with the colour, looks really cool, has a nice blue tint to it which makes it different to the Atlas Grey Audi A4 Avant I had before.

Looks fantastic! glad you picked it up safely. the 2.0 tdi goes like a rocket when fully run in:thumbup:

They were spot on with service' date=' even had a coffee with the owner when I collected my car!

Fred Arnell is a nice guy and will do everything he can to help out. Good team and well impressed, even with a little "glitch" in my original order they have been fantastic! If you buy a car from them and visit them on a Saturday they will wash your car every week for the time you own it - FREE!!!

I went to them as my MD knows Mark Mitchell (MD of Mitchells) well and we like to support people we know! We will be ordering 2 more Octavia Estates for delivery 1st March from them.

If anyone is interested in the same spec car as mine but with a manual gearbox give them a shout, they might well be able to help you out! ;)[/quote']

Yes Mark is very well known in the motor trade around here, his stand against opening on Sundays has won him a lot of friends - although unfortunately some of us still have too!.

I had never been to Mitchells untill very recently - and quite frankly I was gob smacked - the showroom puts our supposedly superior showroom to shame, and the people as you say are very friendly, when my local dealer closed they wrote and offered the free washing - unfortunately by then I had sold my vRS, but they were quite happy for me to take the golf!! - obviously hoping that I would see something I like whilst there!!.

I always try and give my business to people I know - either becuase they have bought from us or they have dealt with us in some way.

Mitchells are now quite a large company and yet they give service like a small family garage - you feel welcome when you go there - unlike some places!!

Marks stand on not trading Sundays is very similar to our MD's, we have Toy Shops in key retail sites such as the Bullring, Centre MK: Milton Keynes and The Coliseum, Ellesmere Port and we don't trade Sundays. It's a family thing as much as anything which I value greatly as do many of our staff.

Was made to feel very welcome indeed, even greated at the door of the showroom as they knew when I was coming and spotted me parking! The showroom is amazing, even having a special delivery bay in it to be shown round the car before it goes outside when taking delivery! They have a customer waiting room which exceeds any expectations, it includes Plasma TV, several PC's so people can work while they wait and a fantastic drinks machine!

To say their workshops are spotless would eb an understatment too! It may be 4.5 hours from home but I'm certainly going to make sure my Octy is looked after by them!

And I'm really looking forward to giving them the business

Well I've done nearly 10k in it now and it certainly feels looser! It's a pleasure to drive! I drove for 7.5 hours on Thursday and got out relaxed and completly stress free, I couldn't say the same about the Mondeo I had whilst I leant my car to me friend to go to Italy in!

After a little visit to Jabba during the week I've got to say the car has improved!!! [:D]

Hi Golfturbo, can I ask what the Bhp and lb/ft figures are for your car? I gather that the torque can’t be ‘upped’ by too much as it is already near the threshold of the DSG gearbox. Willberpog has just finished his running-in period and is starting to free-up nicely, although the mpg is still a little disappointing, but I live in hope this will improve over the next few thousand miles.

i'm gettin 42.5 mpg but 90% of my driving is around town. Only 3,700 miles on so far tho.

Hiya Golfturbo

How much extra is ya insurance now ??

Cheers

Andy
