Have you taken the aux belt off yet to inspect all the pulleys/wheels?

I think it must be something on one of the belts, I can't think why it wouldn't start without the aux belt in place either.

Keep on. Youll prob get away with it for a while but ide say your not mechanicaly sympathetic or you wouldnt be "putting your foot down" and saying its mechanically sound when it blatently isnt.

If you cant sort it take it to a garage and stop being a muppet!

Hopefully all that will happen is you get stuck at side of the road but if its seriouse then anything could happen.

All people on here can do is guess whats wrong unless they look at it in the flesh. Recording something can make the sound different to what it actually is so again its all guesses.

Good luck sorting it and I hope you do. Till then dont drive it or if you have to keep it to a minimum. All its doing is making it worse what ever it is.

Yes but the point is the that your car should not make that noise. Something is broken, split, worn, leaking, rubbing etc. It will not spontaneously get better, sooner or later something will fail and it may be spectacular. You may lose the exhaust, trash the engine or even cause an accident. The "la la la, I'm not listening" approach isn't going work.

Im not driving it like a **** nd never said i was during the 600+ mile trip i didnt go above 80 and i only went to 80 to overtake on rare occasions so pipe down unless its helpfull info or if u wanna bitch p.m me im only in rhondda if u wanna bitch in person
