Hi All, 

 

After briefly owning an Octavia some time ago, I decided to get another mk1 last week as a bit of a daily drive project. 

Seems to run well with decent mileage and a full service history, but alas it had a few issues to sort: 

 

- Wonky Exhaust

- Passenger Seat adjustment wheel snapped (need new seat i think)

- Door lock on passenger site is a bit sticky

- Aircon leaks (took a recharge but lasted a day :()

 

I think it was previously owned by a member on here as when I picked it up I realised it had Window Tints and a cruise control stalk added, plus sales brochures and stuff with it. 

 

Plans are mainly to fix the little issues and see how she runs in the short term, but i'd like to make her into something a bit special. 

 

I've started off by buying some skoda plate surrounds and buying some 3D gel plates and LED bulbs - the number plate will be

T333 RBO which is currently in the process of being transferred. Before you ask it used to belong to Si Tribbeck who had a Fabia vRS on here. 

 

Also planning to blacken the grill, do the citigo badge mod, and maybe get some nice rims (along with spending my weekends polishing her to save the red from fading haha)

 

 

 

Get the new Fabia badges. They are 80mm so will be exactly the same size as the existing ones

Hahah cheers well it was supposed to be a silver one but ended up red because it was lower mileage, cheaper and had better history than the silver one lol. 

I'm not new to Skoda ownership though - I had a MK1 Octavia vRS (in red ages ago) and also a Mk1 Fabia vRS.

 

My dad has a god awful 1.9SDI fabia saloon too (which he loves for some reason) - sorry to offend any fabia saloon owners but deffo not my cup of tea lol. 

 

I'm feeling the need for more power already though!

looks good a few simple bits to fix the exhaust is likely to be a frayed flexi on the downpipe.

 

i own a black vrs .... however i love the red ones too ..... when i brought mine there was literally a coin toss between red or black and my next car will be a red mk1 or 2 vrs

Dont do it... Red ones are trouble

They even tey and warn u by being red

I prefer red - just annoying they fade!

New plates on.. starting to get dark, so excuse the poor quality (makes the car look pink instead of red lol)

It's needs cutting and welding as it was previously bodged - so it'll have that done at the end of the month lol. 

hence why i've not done much with it - it's kinda hanging down and looks twisted - it'll get sorted though!

 

As for the tints, i'm not too sure, I know a friend has one level before limo tints on his XJR, but this is slightly lighter than that.

 

I think they look good, not too OTT :P

Still have it with a fixed exhaust now.. lol - fitted a HKS SSQV i got given yesterday for a bit of a laugh and suprised how much noise it makes lol. Read all the horror stories but suprisingly enough there are no fault codes and it seems to run miles better than it did standard (think my OEM valve was buggered). got some other bits and pieces coming soon lol
