The past few weeks I've noticed when I take my foot off the accelerator a few seconds later a small screech comes from the turbo, but I can cut it out if I press the pedal again. Took it to a garage they said it sounded normal but other garage said turbo is on it's way out? Any ideas?

Are you sure its the turbo screeching and not an aux belt etc ?

Worst case: the turbo being on the way out is possible but all that means is you will have to get a hybrid

Or one of the vains on the turbo could be slightly bent which in turn will make the turbo make a noise when spooling. I wouldn't worry too much mate.

Its defiantly not an aux belt, realistically how long can I drive it for or will I defiantly know when the turbo is going, it's not losing power or anything.
