Okay so when i first bought the car i whacked JOM's on it.

 

They were okay/good for the money really but bit bouncy and i smashed my sump one day this was in part due to a stupid raised drain cover in a garage i must say.

 

However i got sick of them and not wanting to spend lots on my car (its my runaround car) i decided to get AP's and a whiteline RARB, i do love my fabia VRS really do i have tried to make love to it but so far other than the tailpipe :D :p

 

I give honest reviews...

 

The AP's are better for sure but they are not 'massively' different/better, are they worth double the price of the JOM's? i'd say just probably just.

 

The don't bounce as much and are a little more settled over bumps - this was my gripe with the JOM's even though i didnt have them stupid low, the other bonus is the JOMs on highest setting are in line with the top of the wheel arch (top of tyres in line with bottom of rear arch) and i felt this was a little too low and couldnt raise anymore, the AP's have about  inch or so gap on their highest setting and i think its perfect.

 

Then the RARB people say they dont make much difference with coilovers, they do! the car doesn't seem to wallow and much at the backend and grips a little better!

Do the ap's use the same springs as the weitec and kw kits?

Not sure i pretty sure they are made in the same factory though?

Did you get the tuv papers with them.

I got some sort of documentation with that TUV on them just kinda look like papercopies.

Any chance you could take some pics and send us a copy? I've just got Richards old weitec's. just wondering if the springs are the same like with the weitec and kw's. just the dampers which are different.

My AP springs and shocks are 100x better than the jom coilovers :) 

 

would be interested to see what a RARB would add to the mix :)

As said mate above I'd recommend a RARB

If you want to cut some extra rear end wallow, look into super pro rear beam bushes too!

What did the sheet look like fella?

Looking at the ap tuv and the kw ones off there site it looks like they all share the same springs going of the dimensions.

So Ap, weitec and kw v1 to 3 all share the same springs. Just goes to show how important dampers are :)
