ok i have LOST and panicing about it too as my theory test is on saturday at 8bloody 30 in the morning :confused: but yeah i need to get a copy asap it wont cost me anything will it! i've looked everywhere i got my licence but i dont have the document:( will anything else be accepted? ARGHHHHHH!!!! i put it some where safe and i lose it!!!! :(

You should bring it but they do accept other photo ID IIRC

DVLA can usually get things out quickly if it's an emergency. I lost my counterpart for my licence and had to send it off for a SP30 speeding award , it was my fault for leaving it so late but they still managed to get a replacement to me in 3 days.

Probably best to give the DVLA a call and see what they say.....

you do need the paper part for your theory test :( mine was at 8.30 in the morning too, don't think getting back to Oxford at about 4 in the morning from a Beastie Boys gig in Manchester was such a good idea :confused:

driving instructor here: before the first of july you could get away with just the photo card , and a cover note from the DVLA, the rules changed at the start of this month and you need BOTH! nothing else will be accepted. (This is a rule I read for the driving test, I will assume it's the same for the theory, but thats run by a private company, so you might get away with it!) as someone else said, contact the DVLA and get a replacement....

Finally.....god sometimes parents are such a pain!!!! looked everywhere turned the whole place upside down...turns out my dad put it some where safe so i wouldnt lose it! grrrr found it now soo yipee!!! not panicing no more

well........ i got to the test center! and err.... i sware i thought it was the 9th .....at 8.30 am! on a saturday...waitied..8.30 came rang the help line to check if the center was actually open....but couldnt get thru and well i went the check my appointment again and it was for the 30th :P

******!! so there i was feeling like a muppet i should read things more carefully! so i gotta re book it to see if i can get it earlier

then wats even more embarising!! my rents decided to tell the whole street! getting the wrong date grrrrrr
