Cracking tyres continental

Yeah George as 50% of the tread had gone I get the same value in tyres which is equivalent to 2 new tyres , however they would send 2 tyres to my dealer ,they would charge to fit but theyde want all 4 tyres ( I hope I'm making sense ? ) but he said that they tyres where absolutely 100% safe and the crack doesn't go in to the side wall/ tread just where both meet? As the tyre is used the crack will just disappear / wear away , his job title is

Bill sharratt

National field service manager

Technical services uk& Ireland

MSOE,MIRTE

it was going to cost me £200+ just because of a cosmetic crack which will not impair the safety

He was Production Evaluation Manager for Continental Industrial Tyres, so i think you can probably trust him then.

( LOL @ me.)
