Actually, the more I look at it the more I like it - in particular I think the top-of-grille meets bonnet line is possibly better than on the current Yeti.

An FL CR170 DSG is well aligned with my current interests.

I also think the top of the grille looks leagues better.  I made this image below to show the two side by side for easy comparison (click on the photo to see it bigger):

It is pretty clear now how much lower this new one sits than the old one.

Let's hope - as you suggested - that it's an Urban or similar and that most will retain some more useful ground clearance. I don't need it very often, but I've certainly benefited from it a few times.

Those aren't photos they are still digital renderings so could be different still

I think that this looks like a good mild update for Skoda and the Yeti. Having said that, it doesn't change my opinion in that I think the old design looks better and the ground clearance will certainly be very useful for me. The only thing I might have liked would be led lights. 'Course I would say that, given that I've one of the last pre-FL's on order  .

As I've stated above. And you will also see why I said it is a 100% correct digital image. NOTHING will change as this is the final Yeti FL. Škoda released the FL Superb, the Rapid Spaceback and all the last new cars as a digital rendering like this first (because there are no real cars yet to photograph).

I prefer the actual version with her eyes... :(

Also note the extra parking eye on the rear fender which means finally the Park Assist will allow parking in parallel and long bays as per other Vag products.

But where have the other parking eyes gone,  have they put the camera under the rear skoda badge like the VW one.  I hope not. I think they are crap.

Thanks for posting this Johann

Having spent a few minutes looking at old and new (thanks for that to) I do like this face lifted version. Looking forward to the Frankfurt motor shows coverage.

Oh I like it a lot!  Thank goodness.

Not to bothered about the ride height.

here are more photos of Yeti FL,Including off-road version. http://www.auto.cz/modernizovana-skoda-yeti-ma-dve-tvare-76067/foto?foto=0

Perfect thanks for that!  Here they are then.  The "Scout" version sadly without round foglights, but to be honest it does not bother me.

Note that this one still has the two tone roof rails.

Also a bigger photo of the L&K interior (so who knows if the normal models still have the silver detail?)

That states that the Yeti now has a parking camera - so yes I suspect it will be the standard VAG fold out one from under the rear badge.

Also states it will now have KESSY.  So those are the only two new things I guess.

I can only but HOPE the other thing I'd like is there too: paddles on the steering wheel for the DSG (since it seems there is no radar cruise...)

Thanks for posting this Johann

Out of curiosity, which site did you find this?

On a Russian website.

The Scouty one looks great!

Ha!  So my first rendering of the rear bumper was correct for the "outdoor" or "Scout" version:

http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/281506-yeti-facelift-spy-shots-real-this-time/?p=3334845

And my second rendering correct for the "Urban" version!

http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/281506-yeti-facelift-spy-shots-real-this-time/?p=3335779

I like the Scout/Outdoor's rear the best but typically like the Urban's nose the best with the silver "smile" of the Scout/Outdoor a bit much for my liking.  But I will get used to it.

BUT in both cases I now suspect their 3D model's ride height is woefully incorrect.  This supposed off roady one also looks like a lowered pimp mobile.  Way, way too low compared to the current car.  Let's hope that is just a 3D model problem.

The climate control seems to have red leds (like vw) instead of green ones...

Click on the photo!  If you do you will get a bigger picture and see everything is still green LED and what you are seeing is the red markers for the "hot" side of the temperature controls.   :giggle:

That's the best version of the new Skoda corporate front end we have seen so far I reckon. Some nice details that really modernise the Yeti whilst keeping it's chunky looks.

4x4 versions also get the latest 5th generation Haldex.

I prefer this one

The Scout fog light area looks a tad unfinished with the odd plastic strip above it.  Otherwise it looks OK and better than the Urban in my humble view, still I think I prefer the current one that defined the look. I'll wait to see the new breed in the flesh. Maybe in 2-3 years who knows, Yeti 2 the sequel should be out around then, hopefully echoeing back with the original round fog design but who knows...

Still, If If was buying new I would definitely go for the Scout as the body coloured sill and bumpers makes it look like it may have had a few too many burgers....

Same here.  The Scout/Outdoor one is the one for me too.  With that lovely brown leather interior!!!  Drool...

I actually really like the look of the facelift, I think it refreshes the design whilst still keeping the overall look original and ensuring the Yeti still stands out from the crowd.

I like both!  Decisions, decisions!

New yeti coming soon then   ,  900000000000 is now emptying his money box and counting his change :giggle:
