I think I've got a Skoda problem!

Featured Replies

Well, mine is easy:

Aug 2013 to present ;-) Skoda Citigo Ambition 1.0 60 HK with several add ons

after almost 10 years in a Fiat Punto. We did almost 235.000 km in that. It was very strange handing over the keys :-

I wish I could keep a car that long and be happy with it.

Now I have seen other peoples lists ...I don't feel so bad anymore

MK 1 octavia combi 1.9 sdi

MK 1 Octavia elegance 130 pdi hatch

MK 1 Octavia VRS combi

MK 1 Superb classic 1.9 tdi 130

MK 2 Octavia Ambiente 1.9tdi 105

MK2 Octavia Elegance combi 105 tdi

Yeti SE 110

MK2 Superb SE 140tdi combi

The first one was bought new in 2000 ...so that works out at 8 cars in 13 years.....mind you I only kept the VRS for three months

Plenty of repeat customers then! some nice collections too! :)

Between hubby and me we have had:

1996 Skoda Felicia 1.3 Glxi

1997 Skoda Felicia 1.3 Gli

1999 Skoda Felicia 1.3 LX estate

1999 Skoda Octavia 1.6 LX

2003 Skoda Octavia vRS

2013 Skoda Citigo

Before the Citigo the best of these was the 1997 Felicia. That car did 150K miles without ever needing any repairs. The Octavia cars were not bad but had loads of electronic gremlins.

Owned this for just over a year, miss the engine, but not the rest. It was abused before I got it but thankfully didn't put me off Skoda ownership and I'd have another one, just would choose more wisely

and currently in this, 2.5 years and counting. This one will be with the family for a while

My list is growing

Mk1 Octavia vRS estate

followed quickly by a Mk1 Octavia Elegance 1.9 TDi 130bhp estate

then came a spate of MPVs to suit the family's needs at the time - 2 Touran 2.0 TDis and a Zafira 1.9 CDTi 150bhp

then back to the fold with what is now the JPS Octavia vRS CR TDi DSG estate

I then decided I wanted to keep the JPS as a 'plaything', so got a silver Fabia Monte Carlo 1.6 CR TDi as a daily

Then chopped that in for a Fabia Elegance 1.6 CR TDi estate, not to be modified, which has now turned into the Monster

and, finally, SWMBO has a 10 plate Fabia Sport 1.9 TDi

I clearly have quite a bit of catching up to do. 10 years of Skoda ownership and only recently onto my second!

2003-2012: '03 Octavia Elegance 1.9 TDi estate - just like Brimma's above, but with the 110bhp engine

2012-: '12 Yeti Elegance, which I expect to keep for some time
