Jamahon's Fabia vrs - matte grey, recaro cs etc

I've only just browsed through it quickly, but couldn't find out - what are the seats from?! Corsa VXR I'm guessing? I looked at a set on eBay the other day, but figured the rears would likely be completely different so went for A1 seats instead!

hi mate, yes they are. Ive looked at various sets over the last few months, and it was a pain picking what to go for. I decided I wanted buckets, but I couldn't justify £1500 even though they would be custom trimmed - I was looking at the corbeau rrs. I loved the recaro cs as well but they came in at even more so it was a big no. Luckily my friend was breaking his corsa and offered me them cheap so I was happy enough. Obviously the rears dont match, but ive got a plan for that for when I go to shows next year :)

Got my mirrors and handles sprayed red tonight, thinking im sacking the res carbon idea off and going for gloss red as the carbon wrap is poor quality. Im off to vw festival sunday for the show and shine. Anyone from here going?

Did you find a place to mount your number plate?

I cable tie mine to the grille and remove it for shows/ track days

nope! I was stopped in traffic a while ago, and a pcso came past and was forcing me to put it in my front grill, so I argued and it went on for a couple of minutes.

now for some reason my mate cable tied my small show plate in my sun visor so its visible when the visor is down, after further inspection, she told me the plate was legal where it was placed as well as the plate itself. So now I just drive round with the visor down lol.

no doubt the plate is not legal and that the placement isnt either so I am looking for a permenant place.

I take it that's a small plate then? I ran a small plate for a while, was advised by my local garage to get it sorted for the Mot and have kept the full sized one now.

yeah I tried to order a 3/4 but got my sizes wrong so it's even smaller than that lol. Yeh I had my big plate in the grill for my mot. Ill probably just put it back in once show season finishes this month as im forever taking it on and off at the minute lol.

So after I bought the seats, I kept telling myself the car would stay how it is until next year, but as always i can't wait.

I got my mirrors and door handles back, and theyre still horrendous. So they got sprayed up normal red, along with the front grill - carbon is being sacked off and im gonna wait to get the roof wrapped in gloss red for next year.

Along with the mirrors and handles some interior bits were sprayed before VW fest yesterday - my air vents, custom hazard switch, centre console trim - i'll put pics up when i get a chance to take some.

Also, I've had some fabric turn up today - the dash is going to be trimmed. Hopefully do this Saturday, as i'm off to The Big Meet on Monday and i want the car ready for that.

And finally, my mates uncle has offered to do my engine bits at a cheap price, so i'm hoping these will be done next month ready for a remap in october. Aiming for around 190-200 but i think that might be ambitious.

had a big weekend on the car this weekend as planned - retrimming the interior with my mate. safe to say it was a pain in the arse, stuff wouldnt fit, steering wheel wouldn't come off etc etc. here are the pics of the finished product though.post-106760-0-85347400-1409138798_thumb.jpgpost-106760-0-81794300-1409138816_thumb.jpg

it's something i probably wouldn't do again unless i was being paid, was an absolute pain. airbag light is now on, i've been told it will be because i've bumped an earth wire so need to turn the light off. also, heaters dont get hot anymore, i found a small long, thin fuse when i was tidying the car up, so i think that fell out somewhere, anyone have any ideas?

and finally, managed to crack the windscreen putting the rear view mirror on!

all in all, it cost me around £50 for materials, and compared to around £700 i was quoted, i'm really happy :)

nothing much going on at the minute, got on the kleers stand at modified live cadwell so heres a pic of that. just planning on what i can for next year. lots of smoothing, power, suspension and audio/interior :)

want to keep the car looking 'clean', as i'm a bit concerned the dash etc could make it look a bit 'tacky', so any suggestions welcome!

The dash does look good, I like the idea! But is it a little though around the edges mate?

thanks mate. i'll be honest, it could definitely be better in places, more specifically the dome around the clocks - that's the worst bit. but without a sewing machine etc it would have been near impossible theat bit perfect. once i've got some piping added im confident it will look a lot better.

Forgot to mention as well, my heaters dont get hot anymore, any ideas on why this might be? I found a fuse on the floor when I was tidying up so could that have fallen out somewhere? It wasnt from the fusebox as its a different type of fuse.

not much going on at the minute as I expected really. had a blowout on the way home from work so had 2 new front tyres, in a much bigger size than I originally had, because theyre a pain to get hold of, so car currently sits a bit weird.

got a catchcan on order from the groupbuy and just had some red goodridge brake hoses turn up :) still not managed to solve the heater issue though!
