Hi all

 

i am looking for a cycle carrier for my mark 1 fabia vrs, are there any types you have used?  Any drawbacks?  I dont really want to buy roof bars so am looking for a rear mounted carrier.

likely you'll struggle to get one that doesn't put pressure on the roof spoiler, so you'll need to look for one where the bikes mount high. Also you'll probably need a light/numberplate board because of the position of the plate on the car.

 

I use roof bars as it's much easier (I also don't like the idea of all that weight on the rear screen). decent bars come off in no time at all too.

Roof bars are the only option for the vrs as for the above reasons.

I've got a couple of Thule cycle carriers off eBay for around te £80 mark which was £20 cheaper than my lbs for the same ones
