Hello,

I recently purchased a 2002 1.4 Fabia only to drive away and realise that the front two electric windows have a mind of their own...

When I push the button the windows jolt down a few inches and occasionally will go down when I press up and vice versa...

Does anyone have any ideas what this may be due to? I suspect the regulator may be on its last legs but I've also read it could be the wiring loom?

First see if you can gently get fully lowered by pressing the button and pushing on the top edge of the glass......................then clean the guide channels for the glass...now se if it goes back up ok..........................if it is still problematic it involves a stripdown of the door and grease the mechanism etc..........
