When driving for more than 10 mins my traction light comes on the dash and disengages it any idea what could be causing the problem.

As soon as I turn the car off and on again it's fine for another 10 mins then does it again

Any abs lights at the same time?

Search for broken alternator wire.

Can be fixed for under a pound.

Ok cheers wouldn't of thought that would of been the problem with the traction control but I will give it a go

Not necessarily a problem with traction control. Faulty earth can affect electrics.

That's what it was when my car displayed the exact same symptoms.  

Have a look at this, not the same car but the same fix and location of

wire.
