what MPG are people getting?

Featured Replies

Before top end rebuild I was getting 35 around town and 40,50 on a run. Now im getting 40 around town and over 50 on motor way! Obviously something was causing 5he car wi5h poor mpg but what?

See my signature for overall mpg.

Calculated on Fuelly for over a year, average 50.05mpg on my work run, 30 mile each way on a roads. Best ever is 55mpg.

Dont rely on the cars reading as mine averages 63mpg on my work run, and ive had it as high as 93 over that 30 mile trip.

My fuel app says avg 41.92mpg. My work commute is only 50 miles a week. But I have family in Essex so have travelled there a few times this year.

58.6 average over the 9,000 miles I've had the car.

Easily 75 on the motorway if I stick to 60mph.

Currently averaging around ~42mpg, if that. The joys of constant city centre driving

As said before dont go by the computrr in the car as they can be way out.

Mine shows up to 60mpg to and from work but in reality its more like 48-50mpg

Still good though!

Mine always shows around 55 mpg, it was showing 63 mpg all this week but reality is actually 52 mpg! Little disappointing.

This is my app

Goes to show overall how it's better on fuel in warmer weather.

Whats the app guys?

 Fabia Mk.1 1.4 TDI 70 HP - 55.00mpg over 27864 miles

 Fabia Mk.2 1.4 TDI 80 HP Greenline - 52.50mpg over 6436 miles

Figures are based on miles from speedometer/trip divided by litres to fill tank times 4.545

I have a short commute, about 15 - 20 min (12 miles) which kills my mpg. Daily I only get around 35-38mpg but as soon as I do a reasonable length trip I'm up to 50mpg + easy.

It's pretty decent. I used to have one which you could put in all your spends on the car etc, servicing and tyres etc but I deleted it after I sold my old car and couldn't find it afterwards. Was pretty decent but a little confusing.

My old Fabia used to get around 36mpg I think on average.

Now I'm anything from 36 to a genuine 60mpg. Not bad for a 3 litre :)

The fabia done amazing.

From Calais to les abrets, sum 520 miles, I got 67 mpg crusing at 70, no air con mind.

I did a run from brum to new quay Cornwall I go 61 going and 60 coming back. That was 70 ish with playing.

Did 605 miles to the 55 litre tank

Yea I think my fabia could do 600+ miles a tank on motorway drives. I've done about 550 so far but that included 2 days (50miles approx) of town driving.

I averaged 10mpg the other weekend

Long time average in my Fabia is 48mpg

Mine average is 49mpg, can get more being really careful, or a fair amount less having fun

Mines mid 40's as well I recon.

48.8 over 2786 miles according to the computer.

average 45 mpg, 53mpg on way to work when trying to be economical, 11.1 mpg on the track ;) 32 mpg when pushing on the road...

oh, and mark II vRS :P :)

Just filled up and last tank got 47mpg. Computer said 58mpg.

brimmed the tank last week and brimmed friday and got 555 miles on 49 litres. average 51 mpg. all a road and motorway driving at 60-70 mph.
