Whats a good Engine Degreaser ?

Featured Replies

Well per topic title, i'am looking for a good Degreaser for both the engine bay and around the fuel filler cap as i've been using rapeseed oil and well it's filthy after a few good washes, any ideas folks ?

Mean Green Super Strength Multi-Purpose Cleaner & Degreaser - from Amazon - probably illegal in the UK ;)

Gunk is good too

Green Gunk good too - not as strong but safer easier to use & not going kill all the local wild life

Also used generic commercial versions of Green Gunk type stuff, bought from ebay in bulk concentrate form - not as effective, but huge saving

- probably on a par with comma/halfrauds own type stuff

The best I've used is Gunk.

Will do lads thanks for the sujestions

Brake and parts cleaner, it doesn't leave a residue like gunk etc.

In all seriousness a cheap product to use is some all purpose cleaner from a supermarket like stardrops and dilute to required strngth. Another awesome product is autosmarts g101 which gets rave reviews for a very good reason
