  • Me looking like a goon: Pick it up on Friday. More pics to follow. It has a miltek on which really enhances the V8. On par with a C63 IMO.

  • I'm not prepared to jeopardise the warranty on the power train and drive train on such an expensive car. Plus the RS sounds bloody glorious, has ceramic brakes, bucket seats and many other options.

  • Kids are wwwwaaaayyyy to close for comfort lol

Nice! Proper pics please. Will be great to see this at Combe :)

Congrats buddy, looks mega!

It was a Mk1 Octy VRS which started this great car journey!

Can't wait for my mid life crisis car. Bring on the 30th birthday so I can begin to find out.

You sir are a connoisseur

Nice, better looking than tne black S5.

Naturally aspirated V8?

Wise move going used, how much off the basic list price and how old?

I know when I got the Nissan it was a year old, under 4k on the clock and £15k off list.

High performace cars can be good buys when someone takes that first hit. :)

Look forward to seeing this.

Lost price was 70k and it is now three years old with 22,000 miles and I got it for a crazy price. The dealer asked me not to tell how much he sold it for.

Well it looks like a cracker, really prefer the look of this to the black S5.

Happy motoring! :)

Just noticed it's got the fancy ££££ brakes too... woohoo, you must be REALLY looking forward to Friday!

Sounds like a cracking deal :)

Apparently the brakes are awesome. It was a special order advertising car (probably been ragged then!).

The best thing is the switchable miltek. Put it in dynamic and suddenly the noise is very very loud.

Stop posting nice cars please :envy:

Do you get trouble buying those cars? i.e. dealer looks at you and thinks your not old/rich enough to buy.

The dealer asked me not to tell how much he sold it for.

And?..............did you sign the Official Secrets Act?

He can't take it back :)

True but we've made the deal such that I can get into a different car next year for minimal cost to myself.

The only trouble I ever got was when trying to buy an Octy VRS. I expect I was judged as I came in during Movember and wearing joggers.

They barely entertained me.

Audi and Merc are really accommodating and friendly.

The orange R8, or the white one in the picture?

Very nice indeed - hadn't you just put new alloys on the S5?

was really liking your S5 Nicky, but that RS is just gorgeous, good health to drive! surprised you went for it though, with the extra costs etc and similar performance available from a mapped S5, or was the note off it to hard to resist!

I'd imagine a three year old RS5 makes more financial sense than a new S5.

As well as it being a nicer car. :)

I have to say, I really liked Nick's S4 Avant, wasn't too fussed by the S5, (looked like any A5 with more exhausts IMO) but this RS5 is luverly.

Smashing!

Yes just done alloys and springs! Wheels are sold already and springs coming off tomorrow.

Double post - bloomin fat fingers!!

Very nice Nicky. Didn't see that one coming :)

I take it that you have plans already for a new car next year!

How does it compare to the S5?

I've just mapped my S4, so I reckon I could keep up in a straight line. Just never going to compete round corners or stopping by the looks of them brakes :D
