sfs tip

Featured Replies

does anyone no where u can source the supersize sfs tip from for the octavia vrs also is anyone on the forum here running one thanks guys

They are on eBay :)

Go through SFS, you get A LOT of discount through there site.

I have one and it REALLY opens up the rev range and thanks to Phil-W and his CAI it lets a lot of air in.

second that. I just bought mine through sfs direct. 126 quid all in.

are these the 70mm ones P/N AH15???

Yes

Ah15 is the standard size. Ah15/a is the oversized

Does anyone have a picture of these 70mm tips fitted to the turbo compressor housing ie; from under the car ?

Its been a few years since I experimented with an ABD tip but from what I remember theirs not a lot of space to accommodate an oversize tip without squashing it, which sort of defeats the object, doesn't it ???.

Bill.

It fits perfectly fine with no crushing ;-)

Hi need your help.

I have already made custom SFS TIPO years ago to accomodate 3"MAF from 225HPO, but it isn't at all oversized in body, just MAF entrance was enlarged.

I was wondering if AH15/A  will accept 3" MAF from 225 HP engine instead of OE 2.75" ones from 180HP 1.8T 20V engine????

Could you confirm that??? Could you test it on one of yours?? Some pics also please.

If yes I am a buyer.

Regards
Davor

as its for a ko3s then it has the smaller maf so no. however sfs do make custom units. So a ko3s intake can be matched to a bigger maf. Rtech did have some ko3s oversized tips that have the larger maf option. These are made by sfs to rtechs specs. worth giving them a call.

sorry to revive yet another older thread but i always feel this is what the search function is for, saves making another thread on the same thing over and over :)

No clips supplied with mine, from what I can vaguely remember, Turbo end 50mm to 60mm, MAF end 70mm to 80mm.

Hi guys.

Sorry to dig up an old thread but thought it's better than starting a new one lol

Looking at upgrading the TIP on my vRS and wanted to see if I'm ordering the right one or if anyone has any experience with these.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GOLF-MK4-A3-LEON-TT-1-8T-OVERSIZED-SILICONE-TURBO-INTAKE-PIPE-AUM-AUQ-H0004C-/172237647393?var=&hash=item281a29ee21:m:mKmeL8LIbx4kgh6h6AFuKsA

That's the one I think I need.

My car has the standard K03S turbo with the standard size MAF and a Pipercross CAI.

The TIP is standard at the minute and looks very tired and feels pretty weak so this is my reason for upgrading.

Any help or advice is much appreciated.

Cheers,

Aaron

I personally wouldn't use that Creation Motorsport item. I've had the SFS oversized intake pipe on my car for a couple of years now with no issues. I really rate SFS products. It's not even that much more money, especially with a Best Offer:

Excellent! Thank's for the link mate! Didn't realise the price difference was so small lol
