V6 Superb - ESP inquiry

Featured Replies

I have some questions about ESP or TCS.

My car has a button beside the navigation it is (ESP)

I read the manual that to deactivate the ESP the symbol of triangle will light on in the dashboard.

I faced many times an issue that when I am driving the car on some ( turns )with different speeds, the ESP triangle will flash for three times on the dashboard and in the same time a sound comes from the brakes or wheels, and (Gasoline pedal deactivated) I mean in that moment when light flashing with noise from brakes or I don't know, I can't increase the speed even if I press more.

It is a problem, or a normal programmed system that will deactivate the pedal of gas and reduce speed, etc.

The car has lost traction (you have used too much throttle and/or steering for the grip available) and so the traction control has reduced the power and the ESP has  braked one or more wheels to keep the car as near on course as possible.  You need to drive more to the road conditions and not rely on the electronics to get you out of trouble.

Thanks a lot, I thought there is a technical or electronic fault in the system.

I appreciate it.
