Moving house with a citigo

Featured Replies

Well.... The girlfriend is moving house (well 8doors up) and used the citigo a lot to move rubbish to the tip.

It's amazing how much junk you can put In the back of a citigo.

I have had cardboard boxes, buckets of rubble even plants.

Here's a thought.... What's the biggest or heaviest item you have moved with your Citigo????

Me. I slept in the back of mine (with the seats folded flat).  Quite comfy really, although room service was poor...

My brother is borrowing mine to move his gf today so it be interesting to see how it does.

Used it for the dump run a few times, bit of rubble, green waste earth etc. Basically the dirty jobs to save the Octavia.

Im moving house next week actually

I'm not risking scratching my little beauty tho...

Borrowing a mates transit instead :D

I'm with Damo. I shudder at the thought of 'buckets of rubble' going near my precious. A few dog hairs is a bad enough. I'd love to see some pictures of it fully loaded up though!

I will agree with you there but that's what I'm like with the Octavia. Little Buck is the runabout and knows his place.

Seriously need to get a life, naming cars, talking as if they have feelings. .......what next?

God knows. Next thing you'll be talking about your cars with other nutters on the internet...

Biggest - well, awkwardly shaped, is any of my bikes.

Both rear seats down, slide the front passenger seat forward and stand it up a bit.  Wheels off the bike.  Bike fame fits in with the bars down the passenger side tucked behind the seat.  Cover bike with old towels and wheels lie on top.

I can get a sports bag in the boot under the frame too :)

Amazing what will fit when you're determined :D

We moved around 30 heavy boxes full of papers plus a few duffle bags from Prague, CZ to Denmark. The guy where we picked it up, said he had a little trouble moving it in his Octavia :D

It was pretty crowded in the car but we made it, and I even reached 150km/h on the autobahn :-)

I moved my two bed flat from Brighton to London - took about 18 journeys and the only thing i couldn't move in it was the double spring mattress and desk which had to go with a Man With A Van. I even got the double futon in, frame and all! You should have seen the neighbours staring when I struggled up the street with the double futon mattress to the tiny little car and began stuffing it in. I've also done numerous runs to the tip, my girlfriend quite often sleeps in the back when she waits for me to finish work. Great car, should rename it The Tardis...
