Oil Sensor Workshop Message plus Air Con Failure

I have an Octavia VRS Deisel 170PD.

 

I have a warning on the dash that says 'Oil sensor workshop'. At the same time the air con has stopped working completely.

 

Does anyone have any idea what the fault could be?

From reading other forums it seems that it may be a burst oil pressure switch, would this make sense?

 

Is it a difficult job?

OK after closer inspection the Fault Code is 00562 and the sensor fault is the G266.

 

I reckon it is the oil temperature sensor on the bottom of the sump or the wiring. Any ideas as to why this may effect the air con as well??

I would check that a rodent hasnt been nibbling on a wiring loom.
