Whats my Fabia worth? (not an add!)

Featured Replies

hey guys.

I'm having some trouble valueing my car.

Its a yellow 53 plate standard vRS with a years MOT and months tax, yellow with the usual stone chips on 135k with FSH. It's also had the timing belt and water pump done recently with new brakes and bushes.

I've put it up for £2500 ONO and would prob consider 2350 or something around that but so far I've been offered stupid prices around the £2000 mark yet I've been offered clio 172's and BMW's for swap. Plenty of yellow ones online for a lot more in the same year and milage.

Whats everyones opinions? thanks.

If you can swap for a decent low mileage Clio cup then do it....

£2200 should buy a good one that's newer than what you have

and without doubt it will be more fun to drive.

The thing is, yellow cars can be a pig to shift, although I reckon we'll

have no bother shifting our 500. I've had people knock at the door

asking me to ring them if I ever consider selling it...

You have to play the game, everyone will assume you've overvalued the car so they'll offer £2000 and you have to be prepared to meet them in the middle at £2250.

You shouldnt have an issue shifting that just be patiant you havnt had for sale long have you?

Are you selling to buy another car or you just dont need it anymore?

Both actually joe. buying an XR3I and i dont use it.

Ah cool. My mate just bought a mint condition xr3i cab in red, he bought a stunning series 2 rs turbo in white the other month too. Personally ide love a series 1 xr3 with the 4 hole pepper pots and rubber spoiler.

This is not an ad   :)

Just to confirm.........this is NOT an ad   :)

Honest  :)

briskoda police alert!

clio's are good fun to drive, but beware, they are french. few of my mates have them and all of them have suffered the dephaser pulley problem!

It's maybe a little overpriced. It's colour won't be helping as it's either a love it or hate it kind of colour.

On Autotrader £2995 buys you a 05 reg example with 114k miles from a garage, so perhaps £2300 is more like it for your car, but as said you'll have to take an offer. If it was mine, I'd be happy with between £2000 -  £2200.

I don't know where you have been advertising it, but if not already, get it on Autotrader.

ta everyone. I would settle for 2250 since I've spent £700 on mech parts. Bit harsh since i paid £3000 for it last year :(

Oh man <3 dont get me started. This ones got the whole rubber spoiler but its got a few RS bits on it like wheels and interior.

trouble is, it's lemon yellow. Sprint yellow's where it's at.

I know its the lesser yellow of choice but i think it would take a lot to notice unless you REALLY know what to look for :D

I found best place to sell my cars was pistonheads..

I had 20-30 calls emails when I sold my golf gt tdi.

Only 2 people contacted me after seeing it on autotrader!!

Pistonheads = 10 for one month advertising

Autotrader was 15-18 quid for two week I think!
