Ordered end of July and was told end of October.

Then was given build week 37, which was confirmed status 20 last week. Called Skoda today and car has been built. Told to expect it beginning of October. However dealer has previously said expects it end of September.

What Im most cross about is things changing. I organise stuff in line with the information im given and it all changes. If I was told from the outset delivery mid to end of october then fine but I was told mid to end of september and hence have organised things accordingly. I just wish I had been told accurately and correctly instead of having my hopes up and and being given false expectations :(

It's a Combi vRS DSG. Looks like other people who ordered on the same day and from same dealer will be getting their cars at the end of this month...

Put it this way, there have been finer moments during my 14 year relationship with Skoda...

crap news dave. I'd heard about restrictions on the number allocated but thought that was per country :(

@spitzie, I saw in your signature that you have an estate on order and that you also picked the panoramic sunroof. You mentioned earlier that your car should be built right about now. How is that possible? I was lead to believe that there are major restrictions regarding the pano sunroof for the estates. And because of it my order (estate VRS) would be delayed for a long time (possibly even 6 months!).

 

Since there's no physical difference for the sunroof between LHD or RHD cars I'm wondering how you managed to get yours so quickly...

I emailed my dealer today and we have gone from week 02 to week 46 (11 Nov) but he reckons it will come forward to end Oct so week 43/ 44.

We ordered ours Monday 19th August so that's about right isn't it?

Got an email from the dealer. Confirmed build wk43 (forward from 47).

Emailed Skoda uk. Build week is 43 but its unconfirmed.

Really not happy and have made this clear to the dealer via email.

Suk told me Friday that dealer had to tell me why car was delayed again !!!!! 6th April it was ordered suk told me week 36 then now week 40 !!!

 

Chunkstar, this really sounds that the is something wrong with the order. I think there is another group (Retail Support?) at SUK, who can get more information than is available to the dealers and SUK customer service. I only say this, because when my car went from build week 36 to 41, I quizzed my dealer and he said he contacted retail support (I think it's only available to dealers) and my car had a status of A (a problem with the order), it turned out to be the colour. It may just be ******** that my dealer told me, hopefully it's true and you can get some information.

Just got a confirmed build date of week 38 from SUK. This is 2 weeks earlier than originally told by dealer. 1.4 Est.

Did you call them or how did you get confirmation

I called them. They also said the dealer would have the same info from now on. Haven't heard from dealer in 5 weeks. Original order was 18 July.
