Who has had build week come forward?

Featured Replies

My build date has been forwards, backwards, forwards and backwards. It just needs to shake about and turn around.

December!!!! When did you order Mike?

Ordered my hatch a week ago, on the 28th of August. I've got a provisional build week of 47, so I dearly hope that comes forward!!!

Still, it is what it is, and I'll need to be patient!

Originally start of August but due to hatch delays changed to an estate 3 weeks ago.

I know if correct this is still not as bad as some people have had to wait but if it is December I'm still unimpressed to say the least as the original estimate was last week in Oct - First week in Nov.

But yours is a hatch pal isn't it?

With the hatch there are know delays, which is why I changed to the estate but if my dealer is right I wouldn't of been too far off sticking with the hatch. :-(

Wish I had you patience too, the wait is killing me already lol.

Yeah, it's a hatch.

My current octy is also lovely, so whilst I desperately want to be in the new one, it's not like I'm stuck driving a banger around.

That's annoying Mike considering you changed your order to get it quicker.

And what options are you getting Olly?

Sent an email to SUK last night as customer services was closed and got a call back this morning.

SUK told me my provisional build week is currently week 42 with delivery by start / mid November max but he said this may or may not come forward closer to the time.

Still better than December but fingers crossed it comes forwards lol

Last I heard from dealer (3 weeks ago) was told build week 40. Spoke to SUK today and told week 38 and at dealers week 42. Octavia Estate in race blue, 1.4 man. Just Kessy & spare wheel. Ordered on 18 July.

Hi JKW - is that build week 100% definite then? I was told by Skoda UK this week that the hatches weren't even starting to be build until week 45 which is November, however your comment above and an email I've had from my dealer this morning makes me think this might have changed?

'Sorry I haven't got back to you earlier. Your car is being built the second week of October, which means it will be here end of October/early November'

Hi JKW - is that build week 100% definite then?

I asked SUK about this and they said that build week are only confirmed about 1-2 weeks before, until then it's only provisional. This is because the factory operates just-in-time, so that only when all the parts are delivered to build your car, can it be confirmed. They also said normally a provisional week becomes the confirmed week, but sometimes a part is delayed so the build week slips.

My own order was only confirmed this week to be built next week.

Yeah I've just been told the same. I haven't ordered a huge amount of extra's tho tbf so hopefully that shouldn't cause too many delays.

My build week 42 is defintely going to change tho as production doesn't begin until 45, demonstrators first.

I have been told that my car's due to be built w/c 7th October, with a delivery date of mid November.

Week 51 with an order on 2nd Sept.

SUK said it can move in either direction at any time.

Ordered on 5th August (vRS Combi diesel). Still no build week, provisional or otherwise, even after calling SUK direct.
