Noticed my new to me Superb Combi had a loose fitting rattling engine cover. Had a look and it seems the engine cover snaps onto the engine using 4 supports. The engine cover has 4 rubber grommets that hold the supports. I'm missing 2 of these, causing the engine cover to rattle a bit. The cover doesn't seem damaged, just the rubber grommets that fell out.

 

Anyone had this problem before? I tried looking up the part number, but only the entire engine cover comes up, which is a bit daft...Has anyone got a part number or a source for the rubber grommets alone? Engine is a 2.0 140Hp CFFB CRTDi

These are common across the VAG range I think. Try a scrapyard.or maybe buy a cheap engine cover off fleabay, but ask if grommets are included!
