is this the first sign of getting old?

Featured Replies

Guys,

Ive had my fabia vrs lowered on jom's for around a year now. Started a new job within the last two months with early starts (5.30am start) and 26mile commute both ways.

Im considering changing back to the stock suspension setup just to stop the harshness in everyday driving. It becomes tedious at 5am!

I was planning on getting some polybushes as well as i want the car to be more solid but with oem comfort. Its a shame because the fabia looks so good lowered.

Am i just getting old??

How about stock dampers and Eibach lowering springs? Had that combo, plus Jabba RARB on my old Fab & it gave the lowered (not "slammed") look with OEM feel whilst improving handling.

I have Koni FSDs on my current Fabia and they have the same results.

On the getting old note, I know how you feel. I bought a shirt to go with a suit yesterday, from Marks & Spencers.

Leave them on there it will wake you up abit that time of the morning :D

I'd say the same of eibach springs, stock dampers and a rarb. Love the feel of mine. Ends up like this...Posted Image

Not getting old, just realising there's a false economy in cheap coilovers IMO

Haha yeh it does wake me up abit i must admit! I had though about the eibachs but heard they can be abit bouncy on stock dampers.

How does the stock suspension with polybushes stand up anyone know?

Get the AP shock and spring kit or something along those lines.

I use H&R springs which are fantastic on my daily commute.

Day

Eibach here with stock dampers.

Raised my ap's up at the back as high as they will go and fronts ever so slightly lower for nose down (slightly bigger gap at rear but not a lot in), and they are great doesn't catch on bumps, is relatively comfortable and handles well - better than stock apart from comfort but not much in it.
