Sorry if there is a more proper forum for this or someone else already posted it (I looked, but haven't seen any mention of it!) ...

Spoke to my dealer last Friday.

He told me they were informed just last week that Lava blue will be going out of production after week 39.

I'm sure some official Skoda employees are lurking about, feel free to correct or verify the info :-)

He also came up with a decent explanation why I'm not being kept up-to-date. His firm usually sells 500 new Skoda's per year, This year they hit that mark in July! And he's been the sole Skoda salesman for the past 3 weeks. Last e-mail I sent them was replied to by the now former collegue ...

In the UK we do not have Lava Blue - am I right in thinking the equivalent here is Petrol Blue (which is what mine is)?

Color code for Lava blue is 0F0F - Comparing the Brittish and Danish brochure's it looks like you're right (I was writing something else, but decided to check for myself  )!

Why would Skoda discontinue/remove Lava Blue? I think it is a nice colour. In fact I have a Lava Blue 1.4 TSI (hopefully) arriving this week... Strange!

Could they simply be renaming it?

The dealer I spoke to said it was a supply issue with one of the components. But he sounded a bit like that was partially guess work from his side.

Why are they dropping colours so quick?
