Skoda Superb car SD card...

Featured Replies

I want to know is there any requirement with the Skoda Superb car SD card? The size of memory? And is there any requirement for the card brand? Best can point in detail, thanks a lot!

Less than 32GB is probably the best bet. That keeps it below SDHC requirements (which I think is dependent on firmware)

How much music do you want to store?

Make sure it's black, so it blends in with the Columbus. 32GB is the maximum for units manufactured after week 45 / 2009.

Thanks for your answer. I did not clearly want to store how much music, but should be a lot. It is said that the quality of music in the SD card is not very good, is it?

Thank you very much. This means that as long as no more than 32 GB is ok, right?

I find music on the SD card to be fabulous.

Depends what bit rate it is ripped at - that will determine the quality, the higher the bit rate the better the quality but also the less you can get on the SD card and vice versa.

For reference I have a 16GB card in my Bolero which currently has in excess of 2,500 files in 144 folders, the majority of which are at a bit rate in excess of 192. I don't have an issue with sound quality, but then again that it also determined by the equipment.

Correct.

Thanks a lot!

Get the fastest 32Gb card you can afford. Columbus doesn't use or need the extra speed, but you'll appreciate the speed when you're loading your music onto the card, especially if you are copying anything like 32gb.
