Yeah, think i'd be happy with 4.3k, providing they aren't yellow and have a slight blue tint to them on angles thats good for me

Thats about the colour I want which is probably 4.3k (?) What most Audi and BMW xenons look like

Part of the problem is there is differences between bulb makes. Some will be sold as the same temp but different makes can result in different colours. I've had no issues with cheap bulbs so its not massively expensive to change them.

5K ftw!

6K is too blue IMO:

(Although photos will always be different to truth due to white balance settings and different camera etc.)

Triggerfish, with 5k do you still get a white light without a blue hid look?

Yep, pretty much. Here's the output on a wall:

Having had 6k and 5k, I think 5k is the best of the two. Yet to try 4.3k, but having seen several cars with yellow-y looking xenons I think it's not for me.

The 4.3k there look more bluer than the top @ 5k :S lol, where did you get your bulbs from southy?

How stupid this sounds I may have to buy 4.3k and 5k and see which looks better for me lol

The joys of trying to use two different cameras at different times to capture this kinda of thing :(

Buy two and return under the distance selling regs if you're not happy? (Although that might specify they have to be unused, I'm not sure.)

Could be the bulbs too guys?

I have 6K hids at the moment but one of the bulbs blew, I had it replaced under warranty but they are so much different in colour!

One is blue and one is white!

You can see it on this rubbish photo.

I bought them from my local A1 motorstore they are ring automotive bulbs I seem to recall

Jesus metty92 just buy some bulbs already! Stop dragging it out, just choose what you think you want and try it. Everyones photos will be different, everyones opinions will be different. 4300k is less blue than 5000k and probably more like an OEM projector light across all brands. If you want OEMish... Go 4300k. If you want a bluer tinge... Go 5000k. Simple!
