Roomsters first test

Featured Replies

We are in the process of some minor demolition taking place in our front room  :wall: ..Mrs P`s idea...As a result a fireplace and fire has been wrenched from the wall, some sort of large drill involved from what I could hear  :wonder:  anyway by the late afternoon a very large collection of rubble bags, wooden frames, bits of metal and a large elderly gas fire had found themselves deposited on the drive and under an increasingly rain threatening cloud..This needed getting to the tip before it became even more manky..

Looked at `Ronny` and thought, lets see how good it is...within a couple of minutes I had all the seats removed, a bit heavy but more than doable, and started loading and loading and loading and finally the old gas fire (had been put in in 1975!!) was lifted into place. I really couldn`t believe how much stuff I had actually loaded into it. Its like Tardis  :giggle: honestly. When I got back, cleaning the inside was very easy and quick. Finally a good spray with cockpit shine and it was as good as new. The seats went back in easy peasy.

It really is one of the most interestingly different cars that I have ever owned and believe me I have owned a heck of a lot in my lifetime...Loving it

Couldn't agree with you more paully the best motor we have ever owned and so versatile

Mine's so versatile I've acquired a huge number of "friends" who would otherwise have hired a van.

Yes, brilliantly adaptable little car! Yet another Uni run for mine tomorrow, just no problem for the Roomster everything always manages to fit. :)

Aah the Uni run!  What memories that phrase evokes

If only I had the Roomster in the 90's and early 00's I'm sure my 2 kids would have "needed" even more stuff.  Reckon they could've filled a Transit, nay a 40ft container if it had been available!

Never ceased to amaze me the number of "essential" boxes that traveled each way apparently undisturbed from one term to the next.  In fact moved my son from Liverpool to Oxford this year (Transit!) and I am absolutely certain that some of those boxes of essential books were loaded/unloaded into the old Sierra!
