Skoda Citigo (Sport) Monte Carlo?

Featured Replies

When the new model Skoda Fabia comes out next year, there will be no vRS model apparently.

However the Monte Carlo aesthetics-only trim pack has been very popular on the Fabia so Autocar (thank you!) suggests that the Citigo Sport could have a Monte Carlo option pack sometime in the future.

Would be a cheeky addition to the Citigo fleet. What sort of 'extras' would they put on the car though?.

That would be great although the Sport is specced nice like a Monte Carlo. They could do away with the stripe and have a Black roof and rear spoiler :)

I am not sure Autocar have got this right but the guy from Skoda did seem to indicate room for 2 'special' trim levels and cited the success of the Monte Carlo. On the new Rapid Spaceback these seem to be called Sport and SytlePlus - both look stunning. The Sport version clearly has the same seat fabric design as the Citigo Sport and some shiny black elements like the Monte (sill and spoiler 'highlights', mirror casings) while the StylePlus has the full-length black panoramic roof and extended black glass on tailgate (the interior has the usual optional sports seats). The Citigo Sport seems to have indicated a rather daringly stylish direction at Skoda and, as JimmyR indicated, there may be another interesting Citigo version to come. Not quite sure what else they can offer though, either.

Sorry! - typo - StylePlus

At the moment the Citigo Sport is the funkiest looking of any of the UpMiiGo trio IMO. Only thing I would like to see extra on it would be optional glossy dash as offered on the up!

Nooo, you don't want the glossy dash!  It looks  great in photos, but it reflects everything and if the sun is low, the glare from it is horrific.

The glare from the glossy dash on the Up! was one of the reasons I didn't go for it.

I agree i think that would be awful to live with :(

and finger prints!

you would be forever cleaning it!

or is that just me?

Handbag scratches as well -would look terrible in no time. I really don't get the current trend for glossy interior surfaces as the others have said it creates lots of blinding reflections.

I guess it is the current trend because it does look good in the showroom and press photos.

I must be honest in that I do like the look of it in the up and would have loved the option of a glossy interior. Id just have to learn to live with the glare. :)
