seat mii Toca

Featured Replies

I have had my citigo elegance for 6 months and love it. My sister in law was in the market for a new car and loved it to apart from not wanting to drive a skoda because it had an ugly name. Anyhow she came round with a seat mii toca she managed to get brand new on a 63reg for £79 a month with a 2k deposit. But the deal came with 1 year insurance. Alloys, parking sensors, sat nav, ac, basically an elegance without heated seats and incl parking sensors. and get this a 5 year warranty included. To be honest I went off for a cry. I thought the skoda was the bargain brand surely with all that extra sporty trim it should be more expensive, what's going on?

That 5 year warranty suggests a high degree of confidence in the car. I think that's a good thing, even if we don't get the same warranty.

Skoda get the 3 years servicing and i think, the 3 years breakdown cover as well as 0% finance.

In my situation the 3 years free servicing and 0% finance are worth more than the 5 year warranty and free insurance.

If you are half decent at haggling id reckon you could get an elegance for similar money with 2K down too.

The Toca is a special edition - an se model with some extra bits thrown in. It is good value. It does have a very 'white' dash and light coloured seats, which may put some people off. I have had a look at a couple and quite like the five-door in white. I think the Seat alloy wheels are nicer than the Skoda ones too.

It's a good offer, but pound for pound the CitiGo is still better value for money with 0% finance,3 years free servicing.

The Toca was available on special offer at a very good price when I was looking.

But personally I just couldn't stand that shiny white dashboard.

I looked at the Seat Mii and the VW Up.  I still prefer the Up glass tailgate although I have taken a battering for liking a car with a tailgate that looks like a C1, 107 or Aygo! :giggle:

I also prefer the front end on the Citigo and Up.  But when it bolied down to it, I like my Skoda's, the owners, the price, the dealerships are more plentiful and the Seat dealership that is closest to me is not in an ideal location to get to.  So Sport ordered.  Issue now is, it's not even a week and I can't wait, won't come until Dec or Jan.

Is it just me?.....or is that all-glass tailgate on the up! just asking to be broken? You know, somebody slightly misjudges ...and ....crack!

That 5 year warranty suggests a high degree of confidence in the car. I think that's a good thing, even if we don't get the same warranty.

We do I've got a 5 year warranty on mine. You just have to pay for it.

All skodas have this option

Personally not keen on the glass tailgate

Each to their own I guess

For us the Mii made a lot of sense. I'd prefer the Skoda badge but the interior on our SE lacks the gloominess of the mainly grey Citigo seats and dash.  Our Mii in white works really with the white dash of our SE.

For just over £7k we acquired an ex Seat UK demo 3dr, with 400 miles on the clock, air con, electric windows, remote central locking, alloy wheels and navigation pod.  We love it and almost forget the badge difference.  A the time that we bought - last Easter, the deals available on the Citigo sadly were a bit more pricey and those of the Up even more so.

The real benefit of the Citigo is this Forum!  The VW Up equivalent is ok but the Seat Forum can't even be persuaded  to set up a dedicated Mii section.  So with the excuse of our ongoing enthusiasm for the Yeti and Roomster sections of Briskoda, we take a regular peak here!

That's great to here mate

Our spanish cousins are welcome on here anytime :)

The 5 year extended warranty is an option and costs £269 according to the SEAT website.

The advertised 7.9% APR finance could cost £1500-2000 over 42 months but only allows 5000 miles per annum whereas Skoda offers 0% for 3 years and 10000 miles per annum (both 4.4p per mile excess on Solutions).

The standard SEAT Assistance is for 2 years whereas Skoda Assistance is for 3.

SEAT do seem to be offering some good deals at the moment and it always pays to shop around dealers to see what they can offer. However, I would not pay the advertised RRP of £9995 for a Mii SE with PID and parking sensors (ie Toca 'special edition') - the offer price of £8995 is nearer the mark.

I agree about the brighter interior of the Mii SE/Toca but it is very colour sensitive with those white details. I like the grey interior of the S and Ecomotive but the Mii Sport is very bland compared to the Citigo Sport.

I think the Mii is very handsome from the outside. Nice to have a choice!
