Brembo's

Featured Replies

A quick question, currently upgrading my brake set up to the brembo's from the Leon Cupra R, and 256 rear's. What I want to know is other than changing the calipers and the rest that goes with that, does the master cylinder need to be changed, or is the standard one big enough to cope?

Is there anything else I need to look at whilst doing this conversion?

And also what lines are will be needed, what fittings are needed basically, keep seeing "porsche fittings" mentioned, but that seems strange to me.

Thanks for the help, sorry about all the questions.

The standard master cylinder will be ok. So long as you have the calipers and carriers it will fit ok, you will need to remove the metal guard on the rear brakes though.

Also the brembos are quite wide so wheels may need spacing. I guess you've got 17s too as 16s are probably too small

I think you need to use the brembo/LCR lines too.

Yeah, got all the calipers and carriers I need, got to sort refurbing before they go on. Already on 17's, will do some test fit to check clearance once its all looking clean and tidy. Cheers for clearing up the master cylinder query and the lines chaps :)

Anyone got any pad and disc suggestions for the fronts?
