Anyone else getting prices this high at 28?

I would say that those quotes of circa £900 are a polite way of them telling you they don't want your business. I have a specialist policy on my felicia because of the engine transplant and that's £440 fully comp everything declared and to be frank it's a whole new level of fast compared to an octavia vrs. Although the odd thing is it was actually more expensive to insure a bog standard 1300cc model...I guess that now vrs models are becoming a lot more desirable with ricers and hoons that the premiums are loaded up, you here the stories all the time about the keys being kicked in a burglary then the car being taken

As much of a pain as it is, you have to ring around. Don't use price comparison sites. Every year I ring at least 8 different companies, then go back to my current provider to see if they can match my best quote. If not it's adios. Yes it's a pain answering the same questions, but you can save hell of a lot of money.

Why? You're effectively doing their job for them, and then rewarding them for trying to rip you off.

Just renewed today, might not mention that it cost me just below £300 with aftermarket wheels and engine mods declared. 32yo in a SY11 post-code  and that's at 15k miles a year and a 28yo added driver.

Indeed, I just got a pricey enough renewal with a sheet at the back guarenteeing to beat any quote!

Anyone would think we need them to survive not them making money off us
