Featured Replies

hi, i have just bought a skoda octavia ambiante 1.9 tdi on a 52 plate, was telling may mate what a great car it is and he asked me if it has a "PD" engine, i said i have no idea, could you please advise me on how i can find out and what are the differences between that and a "normal" tdi engine thankyou

Probably not, will be a 90 or 110 bhp all/agr ve type engine

If it's the same as my old 1.9 it will not be pd if it's 90 or 110bhp as its like a common rail.... If it's a 130bhp I'm pretty sure it will be a pd. have a look if you have a red d and I on your badge- I seemed to remember that signified a 130 version - someone else will confirm...

Great car by the way, get it chipped!

90 and 110 non pd electronic mechanical mix fly by wire.

100,105,115,130,150 are pd

Pd is nothing like common rail. they have a tandem pump and each individual injector has a wee pump, the cam then runs the injectors

common rail engines are alot newer and are labeled cr .
