WOLFSBURG /AUTOSTADT

Featured Replies

Having owned Skodas for over ten years and before that numerous VW Type 1 Beetles I think it time I paid a trip to the home of the VW Clan.

Does anyone know if there are any organised coach or rail trips to Wolfsburg?

I spent a few months down the road from  Wolfsburg in Celle but had other things on my mind such as Herforder Pils,  frauleins, defeating he Third Russian Shock Army, Dortmunder Pils and frauliens.   I have looked at the ferry prices and they seem VERY steep so I reckon an organised trip would be better plus it would enable me to again sample larger quantities of Herforder/Dormunder Pils.

We're driving out to Wolfsburg from our forum next September (time to prep some of the older motors and get affairs in order) We've not located any sort of package holiday as it were but its very straight forward in terms of ferry- around £70 return with three in my car. Should be able to do it on four tanks of juice and there are camping sites close to the museum. Just make sure you don't visit on a Monday as its shut!
