Peugeot 309 Warning light, was is it?

Featured Replies

A colleague has a 309 and has ask what a warning light on his dash means and I don't know.

Its on the top left and looks like a dipstick, but it isn't the oil as that's on the other side. Could it be brake fluid?

Thanks Harry

have you looked in the owners book? (ok maybe you haven't got one) I'm guessing brake fuild would be the same symbol as if you have the handbrake on which is a (!) sign.

Water temperature? (ie a thermometer)

Oil level rather than oil pressure? I seem to recall the old Talbot Horizon didn't have access to a dipstick and you had to rely on a light on the dashboard.

Thanks everyone. I think cheeky has it as there appears to be a gauge associated with it. Def not water temp. Old banger so no handbook hence the problem.

It's to indicate what he is for buying a Peugeot 309.

According to my 205 handbook it's a high coolant temp warning light.

never a good thing
