standard CD player

Featured Replies

Hi all my fabia came standard with the tape player, I'm looking to get the standard CD player out of the other fabia's, is it a straight plug in and play? also have they got the line in and line out to connect a sub?

Line out - yes, line-in - it's complicated.... Look at various connects2 blobs/interfaces etc.

Unless you're a huge fan of the total OEM look, you can do far better getting an aftermarket headunit.

Thanks for the reply, I would love a double din unit but money stops me atm I've got a jvc stereo in now but it's pretty kack tbh.. I've tried newer stereos but none work in my car due to no permanent live feed - I've been told

So wouldn't mind a standard one with a disc changer or even a double din unit if anyone's got any for sale.

The OEM Symphony CD players are just plug in and play. An iPod adapter from the CD changer output is a good option.

What's this about "no permanent live feed"? Sounds like drunkeness to me. :)

Should have permanent live, switched (ignition) live and earth. Some h/u require permanent/switched wires swapping around for VW/Audi/Skoda model. They're usually bullet plugged together to facilitate this.

This is what you should have.... Or some of it anyways.... DEscriptons of the connector blocks at the bottom.

Just remember that if you buy a CD unit you need the security code and if you don't get it with the unit you will probably have to send it off to get the code or pay Skoda prices for the code.
