Octavia 'SPORT' spec

Featured Replies

Hi just bought a 2005 Octavia 'sport' been told its based on an 'Ambiente'

can anyone tell me apart from the obvious what the 'sport' spec was over the ambiente please

I know it has deeper bumpers

the Pegasus 17" alloys

twin tailpipe exhaust

real spoiler

anything else please???

Cheers in advance

Hi

I think that's about it.

I thought 'Sports' suspension was fitted as standard too.

Oh cool

Would that be lowered too??

It looks quite high lol

Think it's something like 10mm lower than a standard Octy, so not hugely noticeable.

Aside from that I think it's as mentioned:

'Sport' bumpers

Bootlid spoiler

17" Pegasus wheels

Chromed tailpipe extensions

and a very exclusive car as theres hardly any out there :)

Cheers everyone :)

Yeah it's very high up lol like a 4x4

Was 25mm lower than standard. The Vrs is 15mm lower than a standard Octavia as a comparison

Correct, the Sport suspension is 10mm lower than the Vrs suspension. It is fairly stiff and handles fairly well, I think it has thicker roll bars over standard aswell.

It does handle well

However I'm surprised its 25mm lower than standard !

Thankyou all for verifying it all for me too

Very surprised that it's a lower ride height than a vRS? Strange decision.

Will do some comparisons at the next NW meet :)

Yup, probably why on the mk3 it's the other way around (VRS lower than sports suspension option)

That's the way it should be!

I suspect my vRS is lower than that 8)

Hi,

If you don't mind spending £1.99 you can go to Parkers.co.uk then go to car reviews and at the bottom of the page you have car information packs. It will give you 24 hrs  access to unlimited use  . This is where you can download the information pack on the 'Sport' which includes full interior spec.

Don't forget the 'SPORT' badges on each rear passenger door! mmmmmmm nice  ;)

Mike, you are quite right. Although this was in lieu of climate control.

@wardy see you Sunday will have to do some measurements.

We need yours against a vRS with standard suspension :)

Shouldn't be too difficult to find one on Sunday!

Hi another sport owner here,

Mine is spec'd right up. Curtain airbags, duel zone climate, jumbo box. Auto lights and wipers, tpm, ESP. Oh and DSG, also rear electric windows, but not sure if the were std.

I've got TPM too

And elec rear windows too

Yes mine has TPM & ESP plus elec rear windows. Just basic air con though, no climate.

Saw a silver SPORT today. Looked very nice; wheels really suit the shape.

Yep im a Silver Sports owner, mine has esp, front and rear electric windows, dual zone climate and sport sus as standard. Now she has cruise control along with a handful of other modifications.
