Any other VRS drivers fed up of being flashed?

Featured Replies

I find women are always flashing at me when I drive around town in the vRS..... Can't say I ever get fed-up of it though ;-)

  • 1 month later...

Stopped by the Rossers this morning as part of their Xmas exercise.

First thing he said was stopped you because you had you Fog Liights on (odd because I do not have fog light but he clearly took the VRS DLRs as fogs).

Went through the whole checks including an alcohol breath test and agree on random testing as it can saves lives but beware Fabia VRS DLRs may contriibute to getting you pulled.

Did they concede your "fog lights" weren't in fact fog lights? Seems strange for cops in particular to mistake them, given how common they are now, especially as they are white LED's.

Cannot believe Root has just been given out but then I did not see the Smith dismissal which they say was similar.

Cops admit they are wrong, in which area does this ever happen?

He was quite civil and I had done nothing wrong so he just wasted 5 minutes of my time and now he has now learnt the fabia VRSs have round rather than strip DLRs.

It was dawn and the DLRs do look very bright in the twilight and makes you think about going to sidelights to reduce the DLR brightness but that is not really the solution.

Car haas just been through the car wash so again this contributed to the DLRs appearing their brightest.

Root may have been "rooted" in the Australian meaning (you'll have to look it up). There was a faint hot-spot on Smith's bat. Both thought they hadn't hit the ball and went straight for the review. But, you know what, I reckon they both did hit it.

It was 43 degrees today according to the MFD when I was heading up to see the "wrinklies". Maybe the hot-spot sensor is affected by the heat? This is not the first batsman in either of the last two series to say he's not hit it, when evidence suggests he has, so maybe it is possible to not feel it (something I've never believed). In fact, if you look at both deliveries in slow-mo, I'm convinced it's only the seam that's (maybe) touching the edge. My theory is that the seam makes more of a "flicking" sound that the players can hear, but it isn't "feelable" to the batsman.
