OK, I now have a wi fi and a Bluetooth ELM for OBD II, I have tried and liked the Torque app, it is very good and has lots of in depth info on what the car is doing.

Today I also tried the Dashcommand app, in comparison to Torque it is not that good IMO, I find it more of a gimmick than a true informative app like Torque, DC seems to emphasise on 0-60 and things I do not want, in fairness though it has updated since I got it and I have not been back in the car yet.

Both Elm things work well and there is no issue with connectivity with the handset to the Elm or with the car to the Elm, I think I am going to get an android tablet as Torque seemed a better app and it was FREE!  £6.99 for DashCommand from iTunes store.

My lad got Torque pro for free from somewhere, I found DashCommand in the standard iPhone app store search.
