My question is...


Do 5x100 wheels from other manufacturers with a sensible offset fit our cars?

I have a mk1 vRS and need some winter wheels as cheap as possible.

seem to come up fairly often quite cheaply...

I don't see why not, as long as the offset isn't too far from original. Just make sure the centrebore is equal to / greater than standard.

No, the centre bore is too small they wouldn't fit on the hub. You could lathe (sp) the hole bigger, its supposedly not cheap though.

yes they fit with a little modification, you'll need a drill and a 50mm flap wheel to widen the bore out as i did this and fitted the subaru wheels to my previous car skoda center bore is 57.1 subaru's center bore is 56.1
