Variable Boot Floot

Featured Replies

This is a factory option in the Citigo brochure for £60 but there's no photo. The dealer I'm buying my new car from didn't seem to know anything about it so glossed over it with a quick "You won't really need that."

A bit of research reveals several pictures online of the variable boot floor in the VW Up! Is it the same thing? It looks pretty useful.

Thanks. That's one of the places I found photos of the Up! during my research.

Presumably the Citigo one is the same.

Just realised I typed "floot" rather than "floor" in the thread title.

The floot is a musical attachment for the exhaust.

Hee, hee, for some strange reason, I found that rather amusing!! :giggle:

I've got it in my new Elegance Greentech 75, and its good!  So good I've had to go back to the dealers to get the parts to fit it in my wife's Citigo as well.  £110 ish to buy as parts, but you can't get the carpet, so you will need to find a suitable bit of thin tat carpet! We have a yellow one and a red one...

£110 and you don't get the carpet?

Wow what a rip off!

Which bit of carpet?

When we bought our Citigo the raised boot floor option was not an option. We had to buy it as parts at around £90.00.

I have it in mine and it's great!

Snap.... quite useful.

I bought the parts from a VW dealer - cost me just over £100.

1 x 1S0858831F82V Mounting £6.95
1 X 1S0858832F82V Mounting £6.95
1 X 1S0858855E1BS Platform £58.31
6 X N91026802 Zyl. Schrau £3.00

'Schrau' is the bolt to attach the bracket to the side of the boot. Make sure your delear orders 6 of them. When I went to collect my order they had ordered just one bolt so I had to wait for the other 5.

Fitting is easy - I already had the attachment needed to screw in the bolts.

Everything you need to know is in this thread:

I also bought a Boot Buddie on eBay - it's like a flexible square tube which sticks to the carpet with velcro and can be fitted round smaller objects keeping them in place. Have used one for a couple of years in my smart. Stops the annoyance of a smaller object sliding around when you go round corners. At £3.25 and free postage it's a steal.

As you can see, it does include the carpet, despite our dealer telling me it didn't..... its just the same as is fitted in mine, but now we both have the boot floor.  The fronts of the cars are not the same, on account of the fact that my wife stuffed hers this morning!

Same in mine, I find it useful for hiding things under it and using the "top boot" for everyday use like shopping etc.

But it cannot take alot of weight so just be mindful of that.
