Firstly let me say how disappointed I am at some of the (non-Freedom, dare I say?) Briskoda collective. The attitudes shown in this thread are frankly terrible, and even as a business owner, I don't mind saying it.

 

The discount to Freedom members is meant to be a "thanks" to the members for supporting Colin and his team rather than a way for someone to save £50 at the last minute.

 

HOWEVER: I did not say that I wouldn't give the discount to mikejay and he took my comments with the correct attitude and took it on the chin. For any customer with that attitude, I'd happily give the discount, it would be rude, arrogant and pointless of me not to, and THAT would be poor customer service.

 

I didn't say that he wouldn't get the discount, I explained why the discount is there and why I "shouldn't" give the discount.

 

So, Bullit and 07 vRS Taxi, if you decide to take your business elsewhere then that is of course, your choice. If I decide not to give the Freedom discount because the member wasn't a Freedom member when they booked and only decided to join to save themselves £50, then that's my choice. Discounts on any product or service are discretionary at management level, i.e. me.

 

If however you do decide to come along and have your cars done, I will welcome you as I do any customer, water will have flowed under the proverbial bridge, and hopefully you might have a little more respect towards our business and me personally than to go off on a rant unnecessarily, especially when it's actually unfounded. I didn't say that mikejay wouldn't get the discount, I just (politely) pointed out what it was for and why.

 

If you do come, make sure you join Freedom first. There's a 10% discount you know.

From a typical graph Ben sent me it produces this extra oomph further up the rev range so it sort of widens the rev range as it pulls stronger higher up than the stock map rather than tail off. Don't forgett the extra 50 Nm of torque too!

Anyway back to the thread. Just drove the 100 mile back to Wigan and the map is amazing. Still as smooth as standard but the power is there when you want. Driving round town it doesn't feel much different apart from only needing part throttle to get you moving, over taking is alot better. Couldn't really do a proper test because of heavy traffic and wet conditions, did get the traction control light flash a few times when over taking. Will give a better idea on a dry empty road

Yes, and if you get a dry day and update I'm sure you're going to be a bit giddy!

Not likely at the moment though, wet greasy roads. I managed to get under steer in our 50bhp Micra the other day!
